Celebrity Caribbean Cruises
Celebrity cruise lines offers Caribbean vacations which touch upon many of the Caribbean islands. Your cruise vacation itinerary determines which Caribbean island, beaches and cities you will visit on your Celebrity cruise. Visit the beaches of Magen's Bay in St. Thomas, the French boutiques of St. Maarten, play golf on the island of Barbados. Swim with the stingrays in George Town, Grand Cayman then visit Hemingway's house in the Conch Republic of Key West. Caribbean cruises are remembered for their warm water swims, warm yet refreshing breezes, brilliant blue and green water, and powdery beaches. Celebrity land tours are available and vary from port to port. The city or port of departure is from where various Celebrity Caribbean cruises begin.

Celebrity cruise ships offer an array of onboard activities, services and amenities, including but not limited to: simulated surfing, swimming pools, sun decks, beauty salons, exercise facilities, spa facilities, ice skating rinks, in-line skating, basketball courts, rock climbing walls, miniature golf courses, gaming facilities, lounges, bars, Las Vegas style entertainment, cinemas and Royal Promenades, which include interior shopping, dining and an entertainment boulevard.
Celebrity Cruise Lines History
Celebrity Cruises was founded in 1989. The first cruise ship, Century, entered service for Celebrity Cruises in 1995. The "Century class" fleet as they are called, rolled into the sea as follows: Celebrity Century 1995, Celebrity Galaxy 1996 and Celebrity Mercury 1997. In 1995, Celebrity Cruises created an industry first, a luxurious spa experience within a cruise ship, with the introduction of the AquaSpa® by Elemis. Celebrity Cruises merged with Royal Caribbean International in 1997. Together these two fun cruise lines have a combined total of 29 cruise ships at sea, with more under construction.
Celebrity Cruises launched the appropriately named Millennium cruise ship in 2000. The Millennium class cruise ship featured the cruise industry's first gas turbine engines, which reduce exhaust emissions by up to 95 percent over traditional cruise line propulsion systems. Celebrity Millennium and her sister ships, Celebrity Infinity 2001, Celebrity Summit 2002 and Celebrity Constellation 2002 just about doubled the Celebrity cruise line capacity. Each new Celebrity cruise ship offers cruisers unmatched dining experiences, and boast original paneling and artifacts from famed transatlantic luxury liners, and feature dramatic table side cooking, carving and flambe in the true French style.
Royal Celebrity Tours was introduced in 2001, to offer unique cruise vacations with destinations in Alaska, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. Royal Celebrity Tours pair cruise line experiences with pre and post cruise land tour packages, often referred to as "cruise tours."
In 2003, Celebrity Cruises made more than 100 brand enhancements and new "tastes of luxury," as there are called, were unveiled across the Celebrity cruise ship fleet. Fun cruise line stuff including welcome champagne and mimosas, cold towels and fresh sorbet poolside, expanded dining options including Sushi Cafes, pasta and pizza bars, sunset yoga and Pilates classes, and more. Also in 2003, Celebrity Cruises introduced "ConciergeClass," an enhanced level of cruise ship accommodations featuring new amenities and priority services. Celebrity Cruises also introduced "Acupuncture at Sea," another cruise lines industry first.
Celebrity cruise lines launched Celebrity Xpedition in 2004. The new Celebrity Xpedition class ships feature unique events and excursions designed to offer cruisers once in a life time opportunities to be treated famously, in new environments. Celebrity Xpeditions is a unique program that gives cruisers the experiences they now expect from Celebrity Cruises. Travel to new and exotic settings by cruise ship, including cruises to the Galapagos Islands on a mega yacht.
Celebrity Cruises won Conde Nast Traveler's "World's Greatest Ships" survey February 2003. At that time seven Celebrity cruise ships were among the top 10 large cruise ships. The Celebrity cruise line continues to add on average 1 new cruise ship each year, with new cruise ships planned for delivery in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
