Anegada, British Virgin Islands. Over 300 ships have crashed into the sharp reefs surrounding Anegada, British Virgin Islands beach. The part of the island that you see is about 15 miles around. In the north Loblolly Bay, the reef is very close to the crescent shaped shore, so that the waves are reduced to lapping white foam.
Anse Chastanet, St. Lucia. Take a water taxi to Anse Chastanet, St. Lucia beach. Anse Chastanet, St. Lucia has some of this Caribbean islands best snorkeling. White washed guest cottages are surrounded by dark sand beaches and a green hillside.
Puerto Rico. Interesting beaches are all around big island Puerto Rico. Visit Bioluminescent Bay or Mosquito Bay on a moonless night to see bioluminescent microorganisms in the water. Culebra, is a Puerto Rican island nature preserve where you can walk the white sand of Flamenco Beach. Luquillo Beach, near the El Yunque National Forest is always fun. Remember also that San Juan, Puerto Rico is the second oldest city in the Americas, so visit the castle and walk the streets of Old San Juan.
Turks and Caicos. Remote, wind swept, glittering resort beaches with easy access to scuba diving and snorkeling. Turks and Caicos beaches are made up of six main islands and many smaller uninhabited cays. Grace Bay, Salt Cay, and others are some of the best sandy beaches in the Caribbean.
Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic has mixed terrain and even better, affordable prices. Explore water falls within the Dominican Republic's five mountain ranges, gorgeous beaches, snorkeling and scuba all around. Major resorts like Punta Cana and La Romana have everything in front of you, however, its fun to tour other areas of the island as well.
U.S. Virgin Islands. St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix are the most popular of this island group. Coki Beach is great for snorkeling. St. Croix is the largest island in the group, but is not as developed as St. Thomas. The main town of Christiansted is a charming Caribbean port.
Dos Playa, Aruba. Jagged limestone coasts washed in salty surf, Dos Playa, Aruba is an isolated sliver of sand with rolling dunes and cacti burrowed into the rocks. The waves are too strong for snorkeling, so here it's fun to watch the wind surfers and enjoy the sun and a picnic.
